Role description
To support people living with dementia on a one to one basis to access leisure and social activities within the community. In a recent poll we found that approximately 40% of people living with dementia feel lonely, isolated and not part of the community. The Side by Side volunteer will help support people living with dementia to remain active and reduce the risk of becoming lonely, isolated and depressed by being alongside them and supporting them to do the things they want to do.
