This factsheet looks at NHS ‘primary care’ services – services that you
approach when you first have a health problem. It looks at services to
help you decide if you need to see a GP; GP services and services
accessed via your GP; how the NHS helps you manage a long term
condition that cannot be cured but can be treated and managed at home;
and services and NHS screening programmes for older adults that are
designed to keep you well.
