Supporting people into and through recovery……
Cadas —‘primary objective is to enhance the lives of people in Cumbria through the reduction of harm caused to them by the use of alcohol and drugs, by providing them with an opportunity to work towards living in a more satisfying and resourceful way’
Cadas offers comprehensive volunteer training and ongoing support to all volunteers and is looking to recruit a team of 20 people from Kendal to support us in a wide range of roles.
We are looking for people who can support recovery in the community in the following roles, during the initial foundation training you will receive ongoing support and feedback which will help you decide which path you would like to take;
Opportunities within Cadas Kendal include;
Working therapeutically directly with those in recovery, which can include offering ;
Psycho social interventions
Black box therapy
EFT — tapping
Group support
Volunteering within the organization can also include opportunities in the community or office based roles such as;
Administration/ office support
Social media updating
Produce newsletters
Training facilitation
Delivery of workshops
Open days
Fundraising and profile raising
Promoting cadas
