Carers Information Support Programme - Alzheimer's Society - 29/01/2015
The carers information and support programme is an information programme run by Alzheimer's Society for carers, family members or friends of a person with dementia. It aims to improve the knowledge, skills and understanding of people caring for a person with dementia, by providing effective support and up-to-date and relevant information. Each programme is delivered to small groups of up to 12 people.

The course has been designed specifically for carers, family members and friends of people with a recent diagnosis of a dementia. It consists of four essential sessions, each lasting 2.5 hours, covering the following topics:

Understanding dementia
Legal and money matters
Providing support and care
Coping day-to-day & next steps.

The first course starts Monday 16th March 2015 at Stricklandgate House, Kendal at 1.00pm. The course is run FREE of charge.

PLEASE NOTE:
This course must be booked in advance and is limited to 12 places.
The course is designed for carers (family/friends) of people with dementia. There is no provision for the person with dementia to attend.
